  • SFC C. Longfellow, after 23 years of service with the 287th, transfers to the 193rd Regiment Regional Training Institute and promoted to Master Sergeant
  • CW4 Hockersmith promoted to Chief Warrant Officer 5 as he assumes his role as Reserve Component Staff Bands Officer for 1st Army West

Our Mission is: TO PROVIDE MUSIC TO INSTILL IN OUR SOLDIERS THE WILL TO FIGHT AND WIN, FOSTER THE SUPPORT OF OUR CITIZENS, AND PROMOTE OUR NATIONAL INTERESTS AT HOME AND ABROAD. 

Musical elements of the 287th Army Band include: Ceremonial Band, Show Band, Rock Band, Woodwind Quintet, Brass Quintet, Jazz Combo, Sax Quintet, and Concert Band.

All potential Army musicians must pass the Tri-Service Audition before acceptance.   For more information on our recruiting initiatives, please contact our Readiness NCO listed below.
